Why Breakfast is The Most Important Meal of The Day

A good breakfast will supercharge your body with energy and promote muscle gain and fat loss. Here are three reasons I believe breakfast is the most vital meal of the day.

A lot of people nowadays tend to skip breakfast  in an effort to lose weight and neglect its crucial nutritional importance. I believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and my own personal experience, as well as scientific data confirm my claim. A good breakfast will supercharge your body with energy and promote muscle gain and fat loss. Here are five reasons I believe breakfast is the most vital meal of the day:

Reason @1 TIME : You always have time to prepare yourself a breakfast when you are at home. During the day you may have work or be on the road or have a meeting and unless you carry food with you it is very likely that you may miss a meal or eat fast/junk food, which may ruin your diet plan. However, everybody can wake up early enough and cook a nutritious and delicious breakfast. It takes just under 5 minutes to prepare solid oatmeal with whey protein and a banana, plus a cup of coffee – a great classic start for the day. There is no other solid meal that you can prepare so quickly without any additional preparation and yet taste so good and keep you full for so long.

Reason @ 2 NUTRITIONAL VALUE : A powerful 150 grams of oats mixed with a banana and whey protein, combined with s cup of black coffee – that’s called a breakfast! Such a meal will keep your stomach full for a long period of time – first because it supplies the body with a lot of complex carbohydrates and fiber and second because of the coffee, which lowers appetite when consumed with food. The whey protein and banana will make the oatmeal more delicious and supply additional natural sugars, fiber and high quality protein. This combination supplies the body with abundance of protein, carbohydrates and some fats, as well as a wide range of micronutrients (vitamins and minerals). You can also add little cinnamon and honey for additional benefits and natural enhancement of taste. Make sure to put the honey once the oatmeal is cool, because very hot temperatures ruin raw honey. Make sure to drink the coffee within 10 minutes of preparing it.

Reason @ 3  ENERGY FOR THE WHOLE DAY : Your breakfast is the most important part of your nutritional schedule, because it supplies the body with enough macronutrients and energy to carry you through the most part of the day. If you eat 3 eggs for breakfast – you will be hungry within an hour. However, a solid oatmeal will keep you full of energy and provide a slow release of sugar in the bloodstream for at least several hours. People who are busy during the day and can’t afford to eat at strict periods of time and carry meals with them may benefit the most, since a single high calorie breakfast will keep their bodies functioning without their blood sugar dropping too much or getting sleepy due to lack of energy. If you add casein protein instead of whey to the oats, then you will have a combo of slow releasing carbs and slow releasing protein, which will pretty much give you a 5-6 hour period of lasting energy without the need to refuel.

Reason  @ 4  WEIGHT CONTROL : Numerous studies, done both on adults and children, have shown that breakfast eaters have a lower BMI index than people who skip breakfast. This may be due to the fact that people who skip breakfast tend to eat more later during the day and make worse nutritional choices, as hunger creeps in before lunch and they eat sugary snacks like chocolate bars to subdue the hunger, as it is often not convenient to eat properly at work or university. Eating breakfast averts this problem and reduces hunger, thus helping you to make more healthy meal choices throughout the day.

Reason @ 5 INCREASED CONCENTRATION : Eating breakfast will help you to stay more concentrated, especially during the early work hours. A 2005 Journal of the American Dietetic Association review of 47 breakfast-related studies came to the conclusion that eating breakfast correlates to better memory, cognitive function and concentration. This means that breakfast is not only essential for maintaining your nutritional plan, but it also proves to improve your overall efficiency throughout the day.

So I hope that these arguments will convince you to eat breakfast, if you want to stay healthy and vital
